A baby can typically stay in a bassinet until they begin to push up on their hands and knees or reach 20 lbs, whichever comes first. This is because these milestones indicate that your baby is growing and becoming more mobile, making it safer to transition to a crib where they have more space to move. To ensure your baby’s safety, discontinue use of the baby bassinet once they reach these developmental milestones.
